While researching Peacocks for my wedding I found lots of interesting facts:
1) They live to be about 20 years old
2) While they are mostly polygamous having a harem of 3-5 peafowl, the Indian Peacock when in the wild is primarily monogamous
3) They omnivorous and can even consume a young cobra.
4) Baby peacocks begin walking/eating and functioning on a relatively high level within the first 1 - 2 days of being born.
5) Peacocks require a high level of companionship and without it can be heartbroken and non-functional.
In addition to that there is a lot more interesting information… particularly their fascinating cultural/historical symbolism and significance.
More cool Peacock facts:
Insomnia friction
like insect hallucinations
picking scabs, and dead carcass from my teeth
Nail biting
skin crawling
chainsmoking
mindfuck
never knowing when to end a night
